When a unit moves adjacent to an enemy unit, I assume that it has done so in order to mount an attack.

2. The campaign rules are still in draft form, but I hope to publish them in due course.

All the best,

BobRobert (Bob) Corderyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13109130990434792266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-33072611413467630692021-02-21T20:11:08.800+00:002021-02-21T20:11:08.800+00:00Hello Bob,

It looks sort of like mine, but much prettier (mine give a new definition to "ugly"). I have a couple of questions:
1. When a unit moves adjacent to an enemy unit, does a battle automatically ensue, or must one unit make the decision to attack?
2. Are you still working on the campaign rules, and if completed, will they be available?

Always good following your blog.

Daledalethewargamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11880250994936688330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-48938684733930132032020-09-14T09:48:23.108+01:002020-09-14T09:48:23.108+01:00Maudlin Jack Tar,
The way the map movement works ...Maudlin Jack Tar,

The way the map movement works needs a bit of tweaking, but the results indicate that everything seems to be going in the right sort of direction to be a simple workable campaign system.

I’m not quite sure how I’m going to stage the battle as yet. I might do each German attack separately, but if I can get hold of a terrain cloth that has more squares (16 x 16 would be ideal), I might be able to stage it as one large battle.

All the best,

BobRobert (Bob) Corderyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13109130990434792266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-56078416835602229662020-09-14T07:46:14.834+01:002020-09-14T07:46:14.834+01:00The map movement is producing interesting results ...The map movement is producing interesting results Bob that seem very "real". The play-test has thrown up a couple of things that might require a few minor tweaks to be made to the way the campaign system works, but there is no need for a drastic re-write of the rules.

I’m not sure when I’ll be able to stage the battle, but hopefully it won’t be too long.

All the best,

BobRobert (Bob) Corderyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13109130990434792266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-89229595822060641762020-09-13T16:28:16.164+01:002020-09-13T16:28:16.164+01:00Hello there Bob,
