I've been playing around with ...Get well soon!

I've been playing around with (unoriginal) ideas about simple rules and was thinking about effects and unit-based armies (as opposed to single figures). I'm sure I'm not covering new ground for many people. But I was thinking, in addition to an entire stand getting destroyed what are other ways combat (melee, small arms fire, artillery, etc.) could affect a single stand without requiring keeping track of casualties (or even status)? Things like: Push back, where the affected unit is forced to fall back a certain amount; routed, where the unit has to run away for a turn, but may then have a chance to rally; pinned, where the unit can't move on their next move but can still fire. Of course, lots of complications can be thrown in "to taste". Just some thoughts that have started floating around in my head.

With the long weekend coming up I want to get some gaming in. Maybe even a tryout of your 1 page PW2 rules for fun.Fitz-Badgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15510866929782142007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-10178259926743403142011-09-02T00:49:27.409+01:002011-09-02T00:49:27.409+01:00Get well soon!Get well soon!Conrad Kinchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15683395740934527502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-47379183202678908852011-09-01T22:16:57.314+01:002011-09-01T22:16:57.314+01:00Hopefully both you and your lady wife will feel be...Hopefully both you and your lady wife will feel better on the morrow, sir.

-- JeffBluebear Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05171345165563779232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-25959398250654394732011-09-01T21:20:33.027+01:002011-09-01T21:20:33.027+01:00Bob,
