I am still not very happy with the speed with which Lulu.com are updating my sales figures, but as of today they seem to have got them reasonably up to date.
In late July, my sales figures looked like this:
My current sales figures (as of this morning) look like this:
It is encouraging to see that sales of THE PORTABLE WARGAME and DEVELOPING THE PORTABLE WARGAME remain good.
I only have to sell two more books before I break through the 7,000 barrier ... and with luck, I should achieve that goal by the end of this week.

Hi Bob,
ReplyDeleteGood going there about to top 7,000 sales - well done. I thought your book 'Trouble in Zubia' would be bigger sales- the Cover of the Book is certainly inviting. Keep up the good work. Cheers. KEV.

DeleteConsidering that I never expected to sell more than a few dozen books, reaching 7,000 sales is a real bonus.
All the best,
Bob
I am somewhat surprised that your Lulu sales are holding up. I am still finding their new site very hard going and far worse than their old site!

Steve,
DeleteThe new Lulu.com website is a real pain, and most of my sales seem be being generated by Amazon.
I am planning to publish a new book before the end of the year, but the current Lulu.com website is putting me off doing it. I’ll have to bite the bullet eventually ... but I’m putting it off for the moment.
All the best,
Bob
Hi Bob, I'm looking forward to your next offering. Will it be the 17th century or will we be seeing your Eastern front campaign in all it's glory ? Enjoying "The late Monsieur Galley" by the way.
ReplyDeleteTake Care,
Tony Jones.

DeleteThe plan is for the next book to be the 17th century one, with my Eastern Front possibly becoming a book for the distant future.
Glad that you’re enjoying reading Simenon’s MAIGRET books. They are a great way to pass an hour or two a day.
All the best,
Bob
Hi Bob -
ReplyDeleteSales seem to be remaining fairly steady - especially of the PW family of books. It is a pity Lulu seems to have bollixed their systems - I have been quite impressed with their sales service. So far.
Cheers,
Ion

DeleteI an still having problems finding some things on the Lulu.com website, and concerns about the new website have rather put a break on my push to get the next PW book done. It would have been published by now if I had been using the old website, but the new one really doesn't seem to be as author-friendly.
All the best,
Bob
