My brother in law arranged for us to go the launch of RFA Mount's Bay (he worked in the shipyards at Govan). When it was launched down the slipway it went straight across the river and into the opposite bank, causing a dent in the hull and some more work for the yard!alastairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15012644168758721189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-8335255342491122042021-09-21T22:08:06.312+01:002021-09-21T22:08:06.312+01:00Jennifer,

By the time I joined the 280 class gas turbine ships had entered service, now they were Cadillacs in comparison, ladders wide enough for 2, companionways wide enough to pass without turning sideways, individual officer cabins.......Ross Mac rmacfa@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04053555991679802013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-86416259724192992272021-09-21T16:27:18.660+01:002021-09-21T16:27:18.660+01:00Ross Mac,

The problem is that once you’ve had a suite, even a large cabin feels pokey and small, and the extras (the butler, the separate breakfast restaurant etc.) are an added bonus.

Keep safe and keep well,

BobRobert (Bob) Corderyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13109130990434792266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-81093736643489599582021-09-21T12:10:46.100+01:002021-09-21T12:10:46.100+01:00Hi BOB,
