I staged the Battle of Angamos at one of the Games Day that was held in the Royal Horticultural Hall back in the early 1980s using the largest of these models, and it - and the models of the Blanco Encalada and Almirante Cochrane - reside in pride of place on the shelves of my wargame/toy room.

All the best,

BobRobert (Bob) Corderyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13109130990434792266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-16471862326351476062019-12-21T15:49:05.610+00:002019-12-21T15:49:05.610+00:00The Huascar, you say? She had folding sides so that she could sail in rough waters without getting swamped as the turret had to be kept low down in order for her not to topple over. She was involved in an action against HMS Shah, which caused deep embarrassment for the Royal Navy as they were unable to pierce her armour.Trebianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02221916804339000102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6933470253715910366.post-30986500734118518672019-12-21T10:54:03.671+00:002019-12-21T10:54:03.671+00:00Kev Robertson,
