After a very busy day at work, it was nice to come home to find that two books that I had ordered from the Military Book Club had been delivered.

Ah, lovely books! I'm not much a book-fiend, saving my money for models, but it can be very nice.
ReplyDeleteI've also stumbled on the knack of buying a book for a period and ordering miniatures at the same time, so as you read the book your enthusiasm mounts and the figures are ready and waiting for you!

I have never thought about it before, but that is a really good idea! It is certainly an excellent means of maintaining interest in a project that you are just starting.
ReplyDeleteI must admit that in the past I have ordered figures from manufacturers who took so long to deliver that my interest had waned so much that I had moved on before putting paint on a single figure … which is probably why my shed is so full!
