Trying to make turrets ... again!

I came home today feeling slightly less tired than yesterday, and tried to make another turret for my Turreted Ironclad ... but with no better luck!

I have had lots of useful suggestions as to how to overcome the problems I am having, and I hope to give one or two of them a try over the coming weekend. In the meantime, I have put that particular project on 'hold' whilst I do something else ... but more of that later ...

  1. Hi Bob,

Is theer some reason you must use wood?

How about clay, such as Scuply or Fimo?

I remember some guy named Cordery or some such doing that for his colonial games dhows and gunboats!

    Just a thought.

  2. Jim Wright,

A very good question ... and one I have asked myself a few times over the past few days!

I did look at some Fimo only last week, but that was in respect of another project, and I had not considered it as a medium for my current Ironclad building programme. Now you have mentioned it, however, it is something that I might well consider using ... if I can find the tools I used the last time!

    All the best,

    Bob
