Another three and fourpence ...

My good friend Tim Gow has sent me a long-barrelled version of the Corgi Pzkpfw IV to add to my growing Corgi tank force.

This model will go some way to add some much-needed firepower to my German troops, who now have two examples of this version within their ranks.

  1. One careful owner - never raced or rallied. Actually it has been used in a couple of games so it has been 'run in'.

  2. Tim Gow,

Don't tell me; it belonged to the Regimental Padre ... and he only used it on Sundays to go to the drumhead service and back!

    All the best,

    Bob

  3. It isn't Zimmerit coated so you can use a magnet to check if any shell holes have been bondo'd over. I would check for sawdust in the transmission too.

  4. Pat G,

You are not suggesting that 'Honest Tim, Dealer in Genuine Second-Hand Tanks' would have passed on a 'dud' to me, are you?

I have known him for years ...

    All the best,

    Bob

PS. I have done what you suggested ... and it passed your tests with flying colours!

  5. As far as I recall, this panzer has never even been shot at and was only ever used on the western front. A full service history is on file, though the warranty may well have expired...

  6. Tim Gow,

Now that it is serving on the Eastern Front it will probably be fired at quite frequently ... and I doubt if any damage would have been covered by the warranty anyway!

    All the best,

    Bob
