A different reward

I had planned to fight a solo wargame to 'celebrate' the completion of the recent big sort-out of my toy/wargames room ... but so far this week various things have prevent this from happening. I had hoped to stage the battle tomorrow, but something on the domestic front has cropped up which might mean that a further postponement will be necessary.

I am somewhat disappointed that circumstances have apparently conspired against me, but on the positive side I did manage to fight a battle against David Crook (of A WARGAMING ODYSSEY fame) on Tuesday, and that wargame has given me some pause for thought ... and may result in me changing my mind as to the nature of my 'celebratory' wargame (i.e. it may not now be set in Russia during World War II).

It looks like it is back to the drawing board for me!

  1. Hi Bob,

I am intrigued as to what is afoot! (and yes I know it is 12 inches!).

Glad the game has given you food for thought - it certainly did me!

    All the best,

    DC

  2. David Crook,

I have a large collection of 15mm-scale 1860-era Austrians and Prussians, some of whom who might be appearing on a tabletop in the very near future. The Russo-Turkish battle that we fought made me hanker after doing something similar ... so I think that I will!

    All the best,

    Bob

  3. Hi Bob,

Don't fight it! I will look forward to seeing that and no mistake. As I recall aren't this lot the old Peter Laing figures?

    All the best,

  4. David Crook,

You are bang on! They are all good old Peter Laing figures ... and they have not seen 'service' on the tabletop for some time.

    All the best,

    Bob
