Bought in Blankenberge

Whilst I was in Blankenberge, Belgium, I made a point of going to a small but very well stocked toy shop that I have visited on several previous occasions. It always has lots of SIKU vehicles on display, and this time I bought two TT-scale steam locomotives that each came with a passenger carriage and two additional spare carriages.

As I already have two steam locomotives, two diesel locomotives, two passenger carriages, and two cargo wagons, these extra items of rolling stock should prove very useful as they fit in well with 15mm-scale figures and vehicles.

  1. I've still got my Hornby-Dublo tank engine and rolling stock from 1955 (though it did go out of my possession for about 30 years), plus additional rail and points. Basically for wargames terrain. One of these days I'll have a decent stoush in some urban/industrial environment...

    Cheers,

  2. Archduke Piccolo (Ion),

I look forward to seeing your railway track and rolling stock in use one day.

I also have some HO9 railway equipment (it is HO-scale that runs on N-gauge track) that I have used for wargames in the past. I like having railways as they played such important roles in warfare in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

    All the best,

    Bob

  3. I see a wargame version of the classic movie "Flame over India"(or "Northwest Frontier") in your future.

    Very nice find, Bob!

  5. Isn't the Peter Pig railway model range (mainly RCW) designed for TT gauge track?

  6. Nigel Drury,

As far as I know, it is as this is the 'correct' gauge to go with 15mm-scale figures.

    All the best,

    Bob
