Soldiers of the Queen (SOTQ): Issue 154

Whilst my wife and I were away on our recent cruise to the Atlantic Islands (i.e. to the Canary Islands and Madeira), the latest copy of SOTQ (Soldiers of the Queen, the quarterly journal of the Victorian Military Society) was delivered.

The articles included in this issue are:
  • The 41st Foot in the Crimean War by Major Frank Clark
  • The First Afghan War: Disaster in the Snow or Strategic triumph? by Dr Rodney Atwood
  • Infantry equipment then and now: How the Victorians got it right by George Osborne
  • Book Reviews
  • About the VMS
This issue has some interesting – if possibly controversial – articles, and I am certainly looking forward to reading it later this week.
