Ship identified

I have managed to identify the warship that I saw in the distance off the coast near Palma de Majorca; ...

... it is the Canadian frigate HMCS Toronto (FFH 333).

HMCS Toronto is a Halifax-class frigate, and has recently been deployed in the Black Sea as part of NATO's Operation Reassurance. This was in response to alleged Russian intervention in Central and Eastern Europe, and HMCS Toronto lead NATO Task Unit 2 (TU.02).

  2. Irishhighlander,

If I ever return to Halifax - which I hope to do one day - I will look out for her.

    All the best,

  3. Irishhighlander,

My wife and I were shown around the Citadel by Ross Macfarlane the last time we visited Halifax ... and if I get the chance, I would love to go back there.

    All the best,

    Bob
