The final British figures from my collection of Del Prado pre-painted 25/28mm-scale Napoleonic figures that I have varnished and based are a number of mounted Officers ... including good old 'Nosey' (AKA His Grace, the Duke of Wellington).

You must have also been there during the great storm (87?) as we were, I still have photos of the devastation at Oxleas woods and all around the top of Shooters Hill ....... I actually slept through it :-)

I remember the 'great storm' as our guttering fell off and nearly speared our next door neighbours car. It was not something that I would like to experience again!

ReplyDeleteBlucher was awarded an honorary doctorate by Oxford University. He is supposed to have said (in German, presumably), "If they are going to make me a doctor, they should make Gneisenau an apothecary, for he's the man who dishes out the pills I prescribe!"
I hope your collection includes a suitable figure of the old hussar.
