Sad news

I have only just picked up the news that Jeff Hudelson (who was well-known by his tag, Bluebear Jeff, and for his excellent blogs, including Saxe-Bearstein) died on 2nd October after a long battle against cancer.

My condolences – and those of all wargamers who knew Jeff personally or via the Internet – go to his family. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

  1. Very sad news, indeed. While Jeff and I never met in person, through our correspondence over the last four years, I counted Jeff as a friend.

    1. Jonathan Freitag,

I think that there are a lot of us in the same boat, and 'knew' Jeff from his blogs and the comments he made on our blogs.

      He will be sorely missed.

      All the best,

      Bob

    1. Will McNally,

In Freemasonry we always say that a man should strive to live respected and die regretted. I think that Jeff achieved that.

      All the best,

      Bob

    1. Archduke Piccolo,

Jeff will be missed by a lot of wargamers, but one hopes that his blog will continue to be available so that we can re-visit it in the future.

      All the best,

      Bob
