Spanish Civil War: Day-by-Day: 28th February 1939

Manuel Azana resigned from the post of President of the Republic.

Spain at the end of February 1939. The red areas are under Republican control whilst the blue areas are under Nationalist control.

    Not quite as far back as the SCW but I was reading an article in Miniature Wargames Issue #1 by a certain Paddy Griffith and he mentioned a certain WD Treasurer called Bob Cordery who also took booking for the Conference of Wargamers (£30 for the weekend - a bargain!). Nice t see that you have been a constant in troubled times ;)

      I've been the Treasurer and Membership Secretary of WD since it was founded in 1980. I even suggested the name and designed the logo.

    I "almost" could almost have said since we first came into the EEC but that was in 1973 .. and then out again in 2019?

      Perhaps they should have recruited me to run the EEC! By now the pension would have been good, not to mention the perks!

      Unfortunately I will be missing CONNECTIONS UK 2019 as I will be elsewhere. I do hope to attend in 2020, other commitments permitting.
