A map for my Barbarossa Campaign: Rivers and mountains

I’ve managed to add the main rivers and mountain ranges to my campaign map.

I hope to add the main cities next, and then to define the different geographical and climactic zones.

    1. Steve*,

I intend to use a version of the simple campaign system that is included in THE PORTABLE COLONIAL WARGAME. A formation (i.e a brigade, division, or corps) will occupy a square on the map, and when opposing forces enter the same square, there will be some form of battle.

      All the best,

      Bob

  2. I look forward to watching the campaign progress, especially as a demonstration of the PCW in use.

    1. PatrickW,

Once the map is finished, I hope to try out the simple campaign system.

  3. Hi Bob,
It will be interesting to see how your Map translates into a grid based Battle - or series of Battles. Keep up the good work. Cheers. KEV.

    1. Kev Robertson (Kev),

I hope to trial my simple campaign system once I have finished my current Russian WW2 renovation project.

      All the best,

      Bob

  4. Bob, what software did you use to create the map (I'm sure you've written this already!)??

    1. Maudlin Jack Tar,

I don’t use any specialist software, just MS Paint. It’s a simple program to use, and allows me to work at individual pixel level.

      All the best,

      Bob
