A short update

I spent this morning adding images to the draft text of THE PORTABLE PIKE & SHOT WARGAME book, and it has been sent off to the contributors for their final approval. If I get their feedback by next weekend, I hope to move on to publication soon afterwards.

I’ve been very encouraged by the speed at which Amazon’s KDP processed the manuscript of RESTLESS  NATIVES from PDF format to published hardback and Kindle editions, and I will be using them for any future books I wish to publish unless Lulu.com manage to sort out their current problems.

    1. Jim Duncan (Jim),

Since I wrote my blog post, I've had feedback from all three of the contributors, and have made the changes they have requested. I am going to give them more time to cast their eyes over the draft, but it looks as if next weekend could see the publication of PP&SW!

      All the best,

      Bob

    2. Good news on the publication details but I was hoping for good news on a wider front.

No news on the colon front. I did get a load of stuff from MacMillan Cancer Support in the post, and I have been reading it this afternoon.

      All the best,

    1. Steve J.,

This afternoon I’ve been reading stuff from MacMillan Cancer Support and making the changes to the book’s text that have been requested by the contributors. I’ve also been drafting out a design for the cover so that when I do move to the publishing stage, I’ll be pretty well ready to go.

      All the best,

      Bob

    2. Glad you've received info from MacMillan, that I found very useful as too did my family. So nice to know that help is there should you need and want it, which is very comforting.

    3. Steve J.,

The hospital operates a holistic approach to health, and works closely with MacMillan to support those having cancer treatment and their families. My wife found the literature very useful, especially the suggested list of things I need to take with me. MacMillian are now on my list of charities that I will support.

      All the best,

      Bob

  3. Hi Bob,
It looks and sounds as though you will go with AMAZON. It is strange that after years of going to LULU you've been mucked around unnecessarily- LULU should look after it's Publishing Customers better than that. Best Wishes. KEV.

Lulu.com has been a disaster ever since they ‘updated’ their website and publishing software. They’ve had months to sort it out ... but haven’t, so it’s off to Amazon for me from now on.

      All the best,

      Bob
