Warbases

Having given the matter some thought, I have decided to base (or re-base) several of my small 15mm late nineteenth/early twentieth century armies so that I can use them with my PORTABLE WARGAME rules.

Over recent years, I have used 3mm-thick MDF bases for my figures, and have found Warbases to be a very reliable supplier of laser-cut bases. I have therefore ordered a selection of 40mm-wide bases from them, and fully expect that they will be delivered in the near future. Once they have arrived, I will begin my latest project.

  1. Great plan Bob, I look forward to seeing your progress with this rebasing project. I find warbases to be an excellent company to deal with and if you want them to make a custom item they excel. Reliable and friendly what more could one ask be it at shows or online.

    1. Tradgardmastare,

It seemed to be the simplest option for a project that I could get started sooner rather than later. Luckily, I’ve used Warbases before, and know that their order turnaround is quick.

      All the best,

      Bob

  2. They are good although I have also found ERM to be a good base supplier.

    1. Simon,

I’ve never used ERM ... but I’ll certainly consider doing so in the future.

      All the best,

      Bob

  3. I am just about to complete the reading of several hundred 25 mm figures and I chose Warbases to supply them.

Top company, will do everything for you.

    1. Jim Duncan,

I saw on your blog the magnificent job that you’ve done rebasing an Arab army, and was very impressed.

Warbases do provide excellent service, and as the ship outlines that they specially cut for David Crook shows, they’ll do whatever they can to meet their customers’ needs.

      All the best,

      Bon

  4. Hi Bob,
It's another vote for Tony Barr's ERM from me. He was happy to customise his DBA movement gauge (thankfully not a 24") to suit my MeG requirements.
Glad to see you are on the mend.

    Best wishes

    Mike

    1. Mike C (Mike),

Thanks for the further recommendation. I’ll certainly bear ERM in mind the next time I need some more figure bases,

My recovery continues ... but very slowly.

      All the best,

      Bob
