Yesterday, I finished painting three new German vehicles for my Eastern Front/Great Patriotic War project. They are a Kubelwagen, a heavy passenger car (what I think is a Steyr 1500A Kommandeurwagen Kfz 21), and a 6-wheeled SdKfz 231 armoured car.
The rather poor-quality photographs do not do them justice, but the vehicles will make useful additions to my collection. I have a few ideas what vehicles I want to tackle next, but for the moment I am undecided whether to do some German, Russian, or possibly even Hungarian vehicles.

It has been a year since my Heart Surgery- April 8th- feeling OK though not doing as much physically as I use to. DeleteActually completing these two recent batches of vehicles has made me feel far more positive, and I now have a growing enthusiasm to do more on this and my other projects.
I read that you were looking at beginning a 6mm imagi-nation project. I hope that you do ... if only to celebrate the first anniversary of your operation.

Delete6mm are too small for me to paint, but I must admit that the best figures I’ve seen in that scale are Baccus, and they are well worth saving up to buy.

Hungarian vehicles would certainly be interesting!
ReplyDeleteAhat make of models are these? As I remember you use Minitanks 1:87, but are these actually 1:76/1:72?

DeleteThe chances are that the Hungarian vehicles will be horse-drawn.
I use a mixture of scales, with most of the tanks being 1/87th-scale ROCO Minitanks, and other vehicles being 1/87th, 1/76th and 1/72nd scale. As you will gather, I’m not a purist when it comes to my wargaming!
