Mark Cordone has now fought the third of his Balkan Wars battles - the Battle of Bregalnica - which saw the Serbs and Bulgarians fighting over the main crossing point of the River Bregalnica.
As the following photographs show, the battle started slowly but eventually evolved into a slogging match that the Serbians managed to win, although not without suffering numerous casualties.
