It was with great sadness that I read that John Ruddle, the doyen of garden wargamers, died recently. Although I never met him, the photographs and articles about his outdoor wargames have inspired me over the years, and more recently spurred me to develop my Belle Époque project.
May he rest in peace in the great wargame garden above.
