Catching up … slowly

Sue and I managed to get away on a cruise at Christmas, and we arrived back just in time to celebrate the New Year at home. (I’ll be writing a long blog post about our cruise sometime soon.)

When I got home there seemed to be loads of things to do, and it is taking me longer than expected to catch up with everything that I missed whilst I was away … so if you sent me an email or wrote a blog post that I haven’t yet commented about, please be patient. I will write my reply or comment just as soon as I have the time to do so. In the meantime, there’s clothes to be washed and put away, luggage to be stowed away, and essential shopping to be done … possibly including a new washing machine as our current one does not seem to be working very well.

Welcome to 2024!

    1. Ross Mac,

I am seeing the consultant oncologist and radiotherapist before the end of the month, and hopefully I’ll get some good news. As to cruises … well, we have three booked for 2024 and one for 2025, and there’s the possibility of at least one more for 2024.

Unfortunately, none will be visiting Canada … but we’d love to return there at some point.

      All the best,

      Bob

    1. Kev Robertson (Kev),

Until COVID, Sue and I averaged four or five cruise each year … and we are just getting back into the swing of things now that life is back to something approaching normal.

      All the best,

      Bob

  3. Looks like you had a good time over the holidays. I find the worst part of coming home is unpacking. My family and I went to Lake Tahoe to visit an uncle I hadn't seen in a long time. Glad you're back, Bob!

    1. Mr. Pavone,

We had a great time, and I’ll be uploading a blog post about our cruise later this week.

I hat the packing and unpacking process … but it’s a small price to pay for such a great holiday.

I’ve heard of Lake Tahoe and it looked wonderful in the photos I have looked at online. It looks like a wonderful place to spend a holiday and I hope that you all enjoyed yourselves.

      All the best,

      Bob

Cheers! May I wish you and yours a great 2024.

The cruise went well, and we came back very relaxed … and well fed!

      All the best,

      Bob
