A new YouTube video: Batterie Vara, Kristiansand, Norway

I have just uploaded a new YouTube video to the Wargaming Miscellany YouTube channel.

It is entitled BATTERIE VARA, lasts just under ten minutes, and tells the story of the largest German World War II coastal defence battery built in southern Norway.

The video can be found here on the Wargaming Miscellany YouTube channel.

  1. BOB,
Good to see your enjoying your U-Tube channel. How is the Mobility going- I'm assuming you cannot make it up to your Hobby Room as yet. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing your FALLER Buildings completed. Cheers. KEV.

    1. Kev Robertson (Kev),

I find it very fulfilling to create a YouTube video, especially if it enables me to use some of the thousands of photographs I have taken over the years.

Yesterday I practiced climbing some of the stairs to the first floor. I have to use a crutch and the banister and do it one step at a time ... but I'm getting there! The plan is for me to be fit enough to climb all the way up to the first floor by this time next week. Once I can do that, I can begin training for the climb up to the second floor ... and my wargame room!

The Faller buildings are almost finished, and I hope to feature them on my blog by next weekend.

      All the best,

      Bob

    3. Kev Robertson (Kev),

I need to practice climbing up stairs one at a time before I can make it right upstairs ... which I hope I'll manage by next weekend.

As the Faller buildings ... well, they're pretty well finished and all I need to do is to photograph them.

      All the best,

      Bob
