All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go

The first line of John Denver's song, 'Leaving on a jet plane' is almost true with regard to my preparations for COW2012 ... but not quite. I have all the important stuff ready (i.e. the wargames bits and pieces that I need to take), but I will actually pack my clothes and washing kit tomorrow morning.

I plan to go out for an early lunch with my wife, and to leave for Knuston Hall by 1.30pm. The journey usually takes just over two hours, so I should be there by 4.00pm at the latest. I like to get there early so that Tim Gow and I can 'meet and greet' attendees as they arrive, although this year we don't actually have any COW 'virgins' so everyone should know what they are doing when they get there.

I will probably not be blogging much over the weekend because I hope to be spending all my time wargaming or talking about wargaming, but rest assured that I will be writing a report about what I get up to when I get back.

  3. Bluebear Jeff,

Assignment accepted with great pleasure ... but only as long as my computer will not burst into flames in a few seconds time!

    All the best,

    Bob

I certainly intend to have a great time ... in spite of the projected bad weather.
