More about the electronic version of the Portable Wargame

Back in early October I wrote a blog entry about the work Peter Maller had done on an electronic version of my PORTABLE WARGAME.

Well Peter has been in contact again, and has sent me both an image of an electronic version of my recent 'Aggressor in action!' blog entry ...

... and a link to the online electronic version of my rules.

I have tried a few moves out with the latter ... and found that it is both simple to use and works very well indeed.

  1. Bob,
Although I am something of a technophobe/Luddite when it comes to much of todays electronic gadgetry, I tried this and was impressed. A great tool for experimenting with your Modern rules - as I have no intention of investing in figures or vehicles for this era.
It would also be good for recording the progress of a tabletop game for those of us who don't have digital cameras.
Is there any chance he will produce a Horse and musket version?
    Regards,
    Arthur

  2. Arthur1815,

It is ideal for people who want to experiment with the rules ... and I like the idea of using screenshots to record the progress of a battle.

Peter Maller has created a Horse & Musket version already, although I have not tried it yet.

    All the best,

    Bob

  4. Geordie an Exiled FoG,

It was an unexpected but very welcome addition to (and adaptation of) my basic concept.

I have tried it out, and it works ... and I am certainly looking to take a downloaded version on my next cruise.

    All the best,

    Bob
