The Portable Wargame Compendium

I have finally decided that I need to get the Compendium published as soon as possible, and have made the decision not to add anything further to it. At present the contents page looks like this:

I had hoped to add a couple more battle reports, but I felt that this would delay publication past my self-imposed deadline of the end of April. I need to add a couple of biographies for some of the contributors, and then I will send the draft off to be proofread. Once any necessary changes have then been made, I will publish the Compendium.

I’m looking forward to publishing the Compendium.

I am waiting for a definite diagnosis, but I am told that I will begin undertaking hormone treatment next week.

      All the best,

As I am unsure the impact of any treatment I will need once I have a definite diagnosis, it made sense to get the Compendium published ASAP. I can then concentrate on getting better and actually fighting some wargames!

      All the best,

      Bob

    2. BOB,
I hope you will be well enough to continue to model your IRONCLADS - it will be interesting to see them finished and in action. Best Wishes for the EASTER Sunday there in London. Cheers. KEV.

    3. Kev Robertson (Kev),

Work is still continuing on my ironclads, and I hope to get the Schwarzenberg ones completed over the Easter holiday. Then I will begin work on an ironclad for the Khakistani Navy.

      Have a great Easter,

      All the best,

      Bob

    2. Yay for PDF! I'm still hoping for a PDF version of the Pike and Shotte and Napleonic books.

    3. Millsy,

The PDF edition is very dependent upon whether or not Lulu.com will play ball with the hardback and softback editions as they use the same publication file. I gave up using them some time ago because of software problems with files produced on my computer, but I’m going to give them another go with the Compendium.

      All the best,

      Bob

  12. Thanks Bob, getting the book published will be a good positive action to get done before treatment, which I hope goes well and is not too onerous. Battle reports could be added in a 2nd edition after the 1st doubtless sells out 😀
Happy Easter to you and Sue!

    1. David in Suffolk,

Working on the book has helped me to cope with my medical problems, but as I have no idea what the effects of my treatment will have, I needed to get the book finished and published.

May I wish you and yours a Happy Easter.

      All the best,

      Bob
