Still under the weather

Despite having had an early night and nearly twelve hours sleep, neither my wife or I feel any better today; in fact, we both feel rather worse that we did yesterday.

As a result, all the things we had planned for today have had to be put back at least until tomorrow, and that includes my play-test of the PORTABLE WARGAME 2 rules.

Ah, the joys of a summer cold!

  1. Sorry to hear you are suffering. It may cheer you up to learn that I have found some photos of what looks like a Morschauser-style gridded game being played in the 1960s.

  3. Dear All,

Thanks for your best wishes for our swift recovery from this rotten cold we are both suffering from. We hope that we will both be feeling a bit better tomorrow.

    All the best,

    Bob

PS. Those photographs sound very interesting. I will be very interested to see them sometime soon.

  4. Hey Bob,

You could always try Mark Twain's remedy for a cold. The celebrated author went to a doctor and he prescribed a quart of whiskey. Mark thanked him, but he said that he wanted a second opinion. So he went to another doctor, who prescribed the same thing. Mark said that was fine, because now he had a half-gallon!

Hope you & the Better Half get better soon.

  5. Best wishes for a timely recovery . . . and remember, rest and fluids are good for . . . especially chicken soup.

  6. Martin and Bluebear Jeff,

The thought of consuming whiskey and chicken soup at the same time sounds ... interesting!

I will certainly try the latter; as to the former ... well perhaps a tot before bedtime might help!

    All the best,

    Bob
