During a recent visit to a branch of ASDA in Dartford, Kent, I found a copy of the film version of the Danish TV series that was shown in June 2015 on BBC TV.
The film is 121 minutes long, and is in Danish with English subtitles. I have yet to watch it, so I'm not sure what the film version of the eight-part series is like ... but as it only cost me £3.00, I am quite willing to be mildly disappointed! (I suspect that I won't be!)

I've heard some very odd things about cows...
ReplyDeleteConrad Kinch,
DeleteI don't know how much of the 'agricultural' aspect of the original series is on the DVD. I hope none at all as I felt that it added nothing to the series when it was transmitted.
All the best,
Bob
If there was ever a series that benefitted by having 75% of it chopped out, '1864' was the one. For three quid, even I'd risk my sanity and watch it again.
ReplyDeleteGary Amos,
DeleteIt was a trifle over-long (to be true, is was very over-long!) and I hope that they have concentrated on the action rather than the back-stories.
All the best,
Bob
