Fire support for my Army Kepi Rouge

I have now added some machine gun and artillery units to what was my FUNNY LITTLE WARS/PORTABLE WARGAME ARMY KEPI ROUGE ... or as it is now know, the Army of Burgundy!

All that remains is to paint and base the army's cavalry and mounted generals ... and then it will be finished ... for the time being!

    1. Kev Robertson (Kev),

I had a few problems with them, but the effort was worth it in the end!

      All the best,

  2. Bob - those look really good. Interesting to see Prussian Krupp guns with an army like this! As an open offer, if you would prefer to issue them with '75's, let me know as I have several spares

    1. Ian Dury,

Cheers! I found the guns in my spares box and had no idea what they were supposed to represent. Thanks for your kind offer of some 75s to replace them, but I’ll stick with the Krupp guns for the moment.

      All the best,

      Bob

    1. Mark Cordone,

Once the cavalry and generals are painted and based, then the fighting can begin!

  4. Presumably the Army of Burgundy has an enclave in the Pimlico area to defend?

    1. Mark, Man of TIN,

      It certainly has!

Incidentally, they have been re-screening the film regularly on one of the Freeview channels.

      All the best,

      Bob

    2. I have always thought this would be a brilliant game background.
      Braw Burgundian artillery.

    3. Tradgardmastare,

The idea behind the film arose from a true event. During the Second World War the Dutch Royal Family was in Canada when Princess Juliana was born. Because she had to be born on Dutch soil to ensure her right to the throne, the Canadians temporarily declared the maternity ward in Ottawa Civic Hospital to be extraterritorial territory and part of the Netherlands.

      All the best,

      Bob
