This morning Sue and I will be attending the Service of Remembrance at St George’s Garrison Church, Woolwich.

We went last year, and it was a very moving occasion, and despite the fact that it was cold and wet, we felt spiritually uplifted by the service.
Hello BOB,
ReplyDeleteGood that you'll be enjoying the visit to St George Church.
How is your Mobility going - hoping that you are doing well with the walking. I've just had all my 14 remaining teeth out and although it has been four days I'm still in a lot of pain- tomorrow I start to be fitted with a bottom plate- so I'm looking forward to a full set of teeth soon. Best Wishes. KEV.
Kev Robertson (Kev),
DeleteIt was a very enjoyable and moving service.
My mobility is gradually improving. For example, going to church today gave me the opportunity to practice using my stroller on uneven ground and to get up and down low steps.
I hope that your new bottom plate will enable you to start eating normally soon. There are only so many bananas on can eat before they get to be boring!
All the best,
Bob
BOB,
DeleteInteresting on Bananas- have graduated to bananas and custard. Good that your using your stroller and negotiating low steps. Perhaps you'll only need to use a walking stick eventually. All the best. KEV.
Kev Robertson (Kev),
DeleteBananas and custard? Now you’re talking! An excellent meal, with lots of good ingredients!
I am able to lift my stroller up three or four inches, which enables me to get it over low steps. In some ways this is easier than using a ramp, which are often quite steep.
I’ve discovered that I can walk a few steps without my sticks although so far I’ve only done so where there is something for me to steady myself on if necessary. One day I hope to be able to dispense with them altogether … but I suspect that may be some time off.
All the best,
Bob
