ReplyDeleteWow! That list is certainly larger than the one I had seen. I am even more impressed! I was pleased to see the Germans have got a 37mm at gun - IIRC isn't that the same as the Russian 45mm? I am sure I read somewhere that the Russians rebored the German weapon to this calibre. I am looking forward to reading your review in due course.

ReplyDeleteI understand that the box does not contain examples of each of the things on the list, but that some are later additions (expansion sets!).
The 37mm and 45mm share a common heritage, but the increase to 45mm calibre was made so the an explosive shell could be fired by the gun; this made it more dual purpose.
