I have had a suggestion that a better title for my BIG BATTLE PORTABLE WARGAME: MODERN rules would be BIG BOARD PORTABLE WARGAME: MODERN.
On reflection this actually makes more sense, and henceforth BBPW:M will stand for BIG BOARD PORTABLE WARGAME: MODERN.

Of course, the description used for a large, heavy and supposedly portable laptop was actually a 'luggable'...
ReplyDeleteXaltotun of Python,
ReplyDeleteA game entitled BIG BOARD LUGGABLE WARGAME: MODERN somehow doesn’t sound very attractive to me (mind you, BIG BOARD PORTABLE WARGAME does sound like a bit of a contradiction as well!) ... and is bound to beg the question 'Does my game look big like this?'
All the best,
Bob

Xaltotun of Python,
ReplyDeleteI actually laughed out loud when I read your suggestion!
All the best,

Bob,
ReplyDeleteSince portability is reduced or no longer the main issue, why not simply Big Board Wargame?
But you may wish to avoid using BBW, which I believe is a way of describing 'fuller figured' ladies...
AS a cricket fan, you might care for LBW - Large Board Wargame?

Arthur1815,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your suggestions, but I think that I will stick to the name BIG BOARD PORTABLE WARGAME: MODERN for the moment. The reason why will hopefully become clear over the next week or so.
All the best,
Bob
Wargame of the Fuller Board?
ReplyDeleteConrad Kinch,
ReplyDeleteThat sounds more like a description of the size of the wargamers rather than the game board!
All the best,
Bob
