Bob,
ReplyDeleteThe locomotives have turned out very well, but might I suggest some brass pipework and some dry brushing to suggest wear and tear of the connecting rods &c. would enliven them?
Arthur
Arthur1815,
ReplyDeleteI must admit that they do look a little too drab and uninteresting as they are, and I am thinking about adding a bit of colour to them. Dry brushing them might well do the trick. For the moment - however - I have something else on my modelling table that I want to finish and paint.
All the best,
Bob
I do like these, but I agree with arthur1815 that a little splash of colour or metalwork here and there - nothing huge - would enliven them a little. I was thinking in terms of a narrow ring around the funnel in red, light blue or yellow, and maybe a small number on the cab by way of identification.
ReplyDeleteArchduke Piccolo,
ReplyDeleteI agree that the locomotives - and the rolling stock - need a bit of detailing, and once my new Ironclad vs. Ironclad project is complete I will return to my toy train set conversions to add some.
I particularly like the idea of individual cab numbers, and will certainly be adding some in due course.
All the best,
Bob
