I have just had the latest sales figures for my PORTABLE WARGAME book from Lulu.com ... and they are even better than I had hoped!
The sales have increased by just over one hundred copies since the last sales report, and break down as follows:
The regional sales are shown on the following chart:
It is interesting to note that when compared with the previous regional sales ...
... the number of countries where the book has sold has increased by two and sales continue to grow across the board.
This news is very encouraging, and has reinforced my desire to get the follow-up book written as soon as I can.

Cheers

Old Trousers (Jay),
DeleteI'm very pleased that you enjoyed my book ... and that you are looking forward to the next one!
All the best,
Bob
Bob,
ReplyDeleteCertainly well done on your Sales...yes, a follow up book would certainly be encouraged by your great success so far- well done. Cheers. KEV.
Kev Robertson,
DeleteThe follow-up book is progressing slowly, but I hope to have it written by the middle of the year.
All the best,
Bob
Still very much a real book" buyer here--got the paperback. Price aside, I thinkk a draw of the virtual book is that there is no waiting--and the downloading habits we all have. I personally find that for something like a rulebook the convenience in-use of a hardcopy outweighs the delay in delivery. For other texts, that isn't so much the case.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to volume the second!
Ed M,
DeleteI've found that quite a few people have bought the eBook version and then followed up by buying the paperback or hardback. I personally prefer printed rule books, and tend to buy printed non-fiction books and leave eBooks for fiction.
The second book should be finished in two or three months ... I hope!
All the best,
Bob
And you can't write pencil notes/annotations in an ebook...
ReplyDeleteWell done, Bob.
Arthur Harman,
DeleteThat's a good enough reason for anyone to have to buy the printed version!
All the best,
Bob
Sorry late to the post. I am certainly waiting for the next Portable Wargame book. I prefer the hard back as it should last longer. I intend to have these on my shelf for a long time. A modern classic.
ReplyDeleteJon Meetch,
DeleteThe hardback version was pure indulgence on my part ... but it has proven to be quite popular with quite a few wargamers. I knew that I'd made the right decision to have my book produced as a hardback when my wife said that it looked like a real book!
All the best,
Bob
