Vive l'Empereur! Some Veteran/Garrison French Artillery figures are added to the collection!

The best way to describe the way in which work on my Napoleonic project has progressed of late is slow and steady.

The most recent additions are half a dozen Veteran/Garrison French Artillery figures. (They are actually French Foot Artillery figures from Del Prado's RELIVE AUSTERLITZ! range, but their slightly earlier style of uniforms make them ideal candidates to be used a Veterans who can garrison coastal defences or border fortifications.)

The next batch is going to be half a dozen French Horse Artillery ... and with a bit of luck they should be finished in a few days.

    1. Arthur Harman,

You're not taking this seriously, are you?

They are - after all - the Regimental Dance Team of the 1st Imperial Hokey-Cokey Artillery!

      All the best,

      Bob

  2. Bob,
Of course not! I gave up taking wargames seriously some time ago; nowadays I just want to play toy soldier Portable Wargames.

Your figures will look very good with some guns - perhaps they could garrison that repainted castle?

    Best wishes,
    Arthur

    1. Arthur Harman (Arthur),

Like you I gave up taking most of my wargaming seriously a long, long time ago. If it isn't fun, why spend time and money doing it?

Funnily enough I have found some ideal cannons to add to my castle's defences. They aren't Napoleonic but look like smaller versions of the good old Britains 4.7-inch gun. Ideal for late nineteenth century imagi-nations!

      All the best,

      Bob

    1. Phil,

Thanks for your kind words. There are still quite a few more figures to come before the project is complete.

      All the best,

      Bob
