The Portable Napoleonic Wargame book: The last battle

I am just about to start fighting the last exemplar battle that will be featured in my book. It will see a French Corps ...

... taking on an Allied Corps ...

... somewhere in southern Belgium.

  1. The pictures look very good, Bob. A pity they won't be in colour inside the book.
I shall be very interested to see how you adjust the PW systems to suit larger forces.
    Best wishes,
    Arthur

    1. Arthur1815 (Arthur),

I would have loved to have included colour photographs, but the cost would have been prohibitive.

I'll send you a PDF of the current text of the book tomorrow. With luck the book will be finished by early next week, at which point I'll send it to you as a doc file for you to check.

      All the best,

      Bob

  2. That's great, Bob! Thanks. How long to I have to check it (thinking of your Christmas deadline!)?

Silly? idea: make colour photos available for download on this blog so those who wish can print them off and glue onto the appropriate pages - rather like plates in an 18th/19th century book?
    Regards,
    Arthur

    1. Arthur1815 (Arthur),

My original deadline for publication was Christmas, but as long as the book is published by the end of January, I'll be happy.

I'll give some thought to making colour versions of the images available to readers in some way.

      All the best,

      Bob

    1. Geordie an Exiled FoG,

It's almost finished! I'm hoping that I will have finished it by the end of the week ... if not sooner.

      All the best,

      Bob

  4. Was actually referring to "that" particular battle
I was thinking it part of the "W" battle!
