Having renovated some Russian artillery tractors, I decided to renovate some artillery for the larger tractors to tow.
The models were manufactured by Skytex and originally sold as French 155mm howitzers. In 1941 the Russians still retained in service a 152mm calibre version of this weapon (the M1910/37) that they had manufactured during the First World War.

Hi Bob,
ReplyDeleteNicely renovated Russian Artillery- I think from memory you have already renovated the Russian Infantry? Keep up the good work. Regards. KEV.
Kev Robertson (Kev),
DeleteCheers! I have some armoured cars and tanks waiting to be renovated. These will be followed by more artillery, gunners, and some trucks.
You are right about the Russian infantry, which I did quite some time ago ... although there is still more to do!
All the best,
Bob
Hi Bob,
DeleteWith more to do I'm a bit concerned as to how big you would like your Campaign to be? It'l be interesting and entertaining for sure. Regards. KEV.
Kev Robertson (Kev),
DeleteIt’s going to be a big campaign that I expect will last me for years. I have boxes full of ROCO models that will gradually come into play as the whole thing progresses.
To give you some idea, I’m using Paul Leniston’s ongoing Napoleonic Campaign and Chris Kemp’s Not Quite Mechanised as inspiration. (There are links to both on my blog.)
All the best,
Bob
Those are lovely models Bob, as are the tractors in the post from the other day
ReplyDeleteMaudlin Jack Tar,
DeleteCheers! I’ve enjoyed this renovation project ... although I’ve still got quite a lot of stuff to do.
All the best,
Bob
There is as Stalin it a certain "quality" that comes of something delivered in "quantity"
ReplyDeleteExcellent stuff
Geordie an Exile FoG,
DeleteCheers! For once, Stalin was right!
All the best,
Bob
