For some time I have been putting together a blog that will deal with my Belle Époque project. It has now reached a stage when I think that I can make it accessible to blog readers who share my interest in wargaming imagi-nations set during this period of history.
My new blog can be found here. There are no posts as yet, but the Pages might well be worth looking at.
I'm looking forward to reading the exploits of your Imaginations Bob!
ReplyDeleteMaudlin Jack Tar,
DeleteI hope that you don't have to wait too long!
All the best,
Bob
Very interesting, looking forward to seeing what happens as the titles are very intriguing!
ReplyDeleteDonnie McGibbon,
DeleteI have no idea where this project is going to take me as it started as a means to find some use for a number of painted figures that had been unused and in storage since the early 1980s.
All the best,
Bob
Nice one, Bob…and I love the web address for the blog 😁.

DeleteCheers! The website address for the blog is the result of a tour of Nice that Sue and I went on a few years ago. Our French tour guide had an accent that would have not been out of place in an episode of ALLO! ALLO!. She kept referring to the architectural style of many of the building as being something like 'belly pork', and it took use some time to realise that she was saying Belle Époque!
All the best,
Bob
Maybe the famous 'Belly Pork War' between Burgundy and Schwarzenberg might get featured in some future post... ;).
DeleteSteve J.,
DeleteNow that's an idea!
All the best,
Bob
Looking forward to seeing this new Blog develop Bob:).

DeleteThe only thing that I can say is that I have no idea where this project is going to take me!
All the best,
Bob
'Twas ever thus Bob!
DeleteSteve J.,
DeleteI don't know about you, but that is part of the fun of a project like this!
All the best,
Bob
Hi Bob
ReplyDeleteGood idea to have a separate blog for a long running, and complicated, campaign. It gives the project a structure and encourages the project by setting up a discipline. I post once, or sometimes twice, on my 1813 campaign diary. Once if I do not complete wargaming the current battle, I post the diary entry. But twice if the battle is completed. The second post is a battle report.
Although I very rarely read back through the blog, I find that "having" to post once a week helps me to stick to the campaign routine of wargaming at least three or four times a week.
Good luck with the new blog, I will enjoy watcing its development.
regards
Paul
Thistlebarrow (Paul),
DeleteIt was the way you organise your blogs than gave me the idea to set up a special blog for this project. I hope to put taster blog posts on my main blog and more detailed posts on the Belle Époque one.
All the best,
Bob
