Yesterday I actually managed to get into my toy/wargame room for the fist time in nearly six months ... and it looks like this:
It was also great to look at the view across London that I can see from the window of my toy/wargame room.
The room needs a bit of tidying up ... and once that is done, the fun can begin!
🥳🍾🍻 😊
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!
Cheers,
Geoff
Elliesdad (Geoff),
DeleteI certainly hope to!
All the best,
Bob
That must have been enjoyable. not only for marking the progress in recovery. Nothing better than being reunited with stuff you have not seen in a while.
ReplyDeleteNeil
Neil Patterson (Neil),
DeleteIt was great to be able to walk into the room and sit down in my chair and just look around.
All the best,
Bob
That's a very tidy wargame room Bob. I am glad things are getting better.
ReplyDeleteWillz.
Tiberian General (Willz),
DeleteThe stuff that has been dumped on the table need to be sorted out - hopefully tomorrow - and then I can get started on a project or two ... I hope!
All the best,
Bob
It must be such a treat to get back upstairs Bob - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMaudlin Jack Tar,
DeleteIt’s difficult to express my pleasure … and I hope to begin wargaming in my room soon.
All the best,
Bob
Congratulations Bob! That's a step in the right direction! (Excuse the pun)
ReplyDeleteMike,
DeleteCheers! I like the very apt pun, although if you saw me walking, I don’t think that you’d be impressed!
All the best,
Bob
A sight for sore eyes I'm sure, and a great view. Much bete organized than my collection!
ReplyDeleteMark Cordone,
DeleteGive me a week or two and the room will soon look messy.
All the best,
Bob
Must have been a great feeling getting back into your room Bob and you mut have missed the view of the city from there, what a view you have.
ReplyDeleteDonnie McGibbon,
DeleteI’ve missed both my toy/wargame room and the view. I could sit and watch the latter for hours.
All the best,
Bob
Bob, I’m sure the sight of your game room did more for your mental and physical health than any treatment.
ReplyDeleteNickN,
DeleteGetting up there certainly raised my spirits!
All the best,
Bob
Great to see you finally able to make it to this and other parts of the house Bob:)! Great to see your games room which I hope you can spend more time in and nice views of London too.
ReplyDeleteSteve J.,
DeleteSince we had the stairlift fitted, my mobility has increased a lot. I do get tired walking so much but I need the exercise and it is a satisfied feeling of fatigue.
All the best,
Bob
Glad you're back in residence!
ReplyDeleteThe Good Soldier Svjek,
DeleteI am hoping to spend an hour or two there tomorrow.
All the best,
Bob
BOB,
ReplyDeleteSo great for you to reach your Hobby Room at last- you certainly do have a lot of storage spaces to keep everything tidy. Bit slow here - still waiting on your OO9 Van to arrive- as soon as it does I will post all of the OO9 items. Best Wishes. KEV.
Kev Robertson (Kev),
DeleteI do have quite a lot of storage but I did move a load of stuff into a storage unit just before I broke my leg.
Let me know when the final bit of 009 rolling stock arrives and we can then sort out the next stage of our arrangement.
All the best,
Bob
Congratulations Bob, that's great news! Quite a view from up there - have you watched the city skyline change over the years, and do you have 'before' and 'after' pictures?
ReplyDeleteDavid in Suffolk,
DeleteCheers! The view is amazing and - as you write - I've seen it change over the years. I do have some photos that show the changes ... but I don't know where they all are.
All the best,
Bob
That's great you can get up there again! Looks like a cool room, with nice wooden cupboards and an amazing view!
ReplyDeleteFitz-Badger,
DeleteIt was wonderful to be able to get up to my toy/wargame room!
I specifically chose wooden cupboard with solid doors for storing wargame stuff and glass doors for use as book shelves.
All the best,
Bob
Very tidy room Bob and great views. I remember when you could see only ships funnels in the docks! Paul.
ReplyDeletePDL (Paul),
DeleteCheers! I like to try to work in a reasonably tidy space.
Many of my paternal family worked in and around the docks, most in dock-related or dependent industries like Tate & Lyle. One of my aunts and her family lived in a street that ran at right angles to the wall of the KGV dock, and I can remember seeing the funnels and upperworks of many cargo ship tied up alongside. I seem to remember that many of them were Blue Star Line 'reefers' involved in the import of meat from Argentina.
All the best,
Bob
Great stiff, Bob! You won't know where to begin, with all the options you now have. 😁
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great hobby space, and lots of storage for all your projects. Have fun 🙂👍🏼
Martin S.,
DeleteMy first task is to sort out the stuff that has been left on my table over the past six months. After that, the world is my lobster!
All the best,
Bob
Good stuff Bob, on the mend mate. Time to get fiddling with the models!
ReplyDeleteGeordie an Exiled FoG,
DeleteOn average I'm managing at least an hour a day in my toy/wargame room ... which is a great improvement!
Hopefully, as my mobility improves, I'll be using the room even more.
All the best,
Bob
