The more cruises I go on, the fewer souvenirs I seem to buy. This time I brought back an MDF Dice Tower (which I have now glued together), ...
... an Andalusian regional flag to add to my collection, ...
... and three 1:87th-scale model Lisbon trams.
I am not sure if the trams will have any possible wargaming uses ... but they look quite interesting and could well end up being used as barricades in an urban battle.

Might be good for a spanish civil war scenario
ReplyDeleteJohntheone,
DeleteAn interesting suggestion. I know that during the Battle for Madrid members of the Trade Union and Republican militias travelled to the front by tram.
All the best,
Bob
The CNT ran the trams in Barcelona
ReplyDeleteSimon Jones,
DeleteThanks for reminding me as I'd forgotten that.
All the best,
Bob
There has to be a use for those trams. They ate too darned pretty to be left in the cupboard!
ReplyDeleteRoss Mac,
DeleteThey will run on N-gauge/009-gauge track, which makes them ideal for wargames involving large 15mm/small 20mm figures. I am sure that I'll find a use for them.
All the best,
Bob
I think Warbases have just added a tram to their vehicles product line, have seen a test model.
DeleteJim Duncan,
DeleteInteresting. I suspect that the one produced by Warbases will be somewhat larger than these Portuguese models.
All the best,l
Bob
I've always been tempted by dice towers. But the funds always seem to end up else where.
ReplyDeleteConrad Kinch,
DeleteI've been thinking about buying a dice tower for some time ... and when I saw this one I decided to buy it.
All the best,
Bob
You will need the trams for Stalingrad and Berlin, Bob.
ReplyDeleteRegards, Chris.
Chris Kemp,
DeleteHow right you are!
All the best,
Bob
