Back in May, I gave a talk to the Monday Get Together group at Shrewsbury House, our local community centre. It was about THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR AND WOOLWICH and it lasted about an hour.
I have been thinking about turning the PowerPoint presentation into a series of short videos to add my WARGAMING MISCELLANY YouTube channel. This should not be too difficult to do as I can fit in making the videos as and when I have the time.
If I do create these videos and upload them to my YouTube channel, I’ll publish relevant blog posts.
Good ideas, sound like interesting videos.

DeleteIt wasn’t until I did the research that I realised the Woolwich and its resident had played a small roll in the SCW.

I'll keep an eye out. A few months ago I read Antony Beevor's book on the Spanish Civil War. He painted a pretty convincing picture of the failures of the Republican war effort - failures we see repeated in Ukraine's war effort today, methinks.

DeleteBeevor’s book is one of the better general histories of the SCW and I thoroughly recommend it.
I’m not sure how politically divided the Ukrainians are so I cannot really equate their situation with that of the Spanish Republicans.
