I don't know why I bought them ... but I'm sure I'll find a use for them

How many time have we thought something along these lines? Too many, I suspect!

Yesterday, during a visit to the nearest branch of Waterstones bookshop, I saw that they were selling sets of magnetic playing card fridge magnets at less than half the normal price ... so I bought two sets for £3.00 each.

They were a bargain ... and I'm sure that I'll find a use for them, even if I can't think of one as yet!

I know what you mean ... but I do actually have one or two ideas that I think that I can use these cards for.

      All the best,

I have a couple of ideas myself that I want to try as soon as the opportunity arises.

  3. No materr, a winning or losing hand of these will look kind of neat displayed on a handy metal surface somewhere in your house.

Since buying these playing cards I've seen similar products being sold as windproof! In other words, you can use them to play cards outside on a windy day ... just as long as you use a metallic playing surface.

      All the best,

  4. Your blog title could be applied to so many things in my "Toy" Cupboard...
I guess you could play Patience on the fridge whilst cooking..?

    1. Maudlin Jack Tar,

I suspected that a majority of wargamers are prone to buying stuff 'just in case'.

Patience on the fridge? Now that is something that I hadn't thought of doing!

    Yep. ha ha
(as well as keeping random bits of scrap and "junk" (what other people might call "trash") because it might come in useful some day...)

    1. Fitz-Badger,

I think that a lot of wargamers would have to plead 'guilty as charged' when it comes to accumulating 'useful' bit and pieces!
