Archduke Piccolo – that stalwart Portable Wargame campaigner – has recently uploaded the most recent battle report of his CHRONICLES OF RAJISTAN series.
This battle report was entitled RETURN TO SHEIKH SA'AD ... and it tells the story of what was a real humdinger of a battle between the armies of Ruberia and Turcowaz.
This was the concluding battle of a campaign that he has been fighting on and off for just over four years, and if my regular blog readers have not read the previous battle reports, I strongly recommend that they do. They are (in chronological order):

I will have to do a Table of Contents post very soon - the series makes, I think, a fine little narrative, and is not so very far removed from the Mesopotamian campaign of 1915-16.
I've got a lot of mileage out of the Portable Wargames concept - one of the most accessible war games systems I've run across.
Over the last four or five years, the Settee Empire of Turcowaz has come in for a lot of adventures - and there is still the second Blacklands War to prepare. But relations between Ruberia and Azuria are becoming very frayed. These are the BIG armies!

Writing blog posts about battle reports and campaigns like yours is a great way for me to get back into the swing of regular blogging, and I found re-reading the entire series incredibly stimulating … and thought that my regular blog readers would also enjoy them.
I look forward to reading more battle reports in the near future … and news that tension between Ruberia and Azuria is growing encourages me to think that I won’t have to wait too long.

Thinking of what I've read in his blog over the years, I'm tempted to nominate the Archduke for the "best campaign and battle reports" award (if this actually were a thing). And thanks for the links list, it is not always easy to track these down via his "Labels".
