The board that BATTLE CRY! is fought over has also been redesigned. It is slightly less yellow and rather greener than the one in the original game, and although the terrain tiles are similar to the old ones, they have also been re-drawn. As before, all the terrain tiles are double sided, and there seem to be enough of each type so as to enable additional scenarios to be created ... should players so desire it!
The BATTLE CRY! board and some examples of the terrain tiles. The latter include fieldworks, entrenchments, fences, homesteads, fields, rocky outcrops (rough terrain), orchards, and woods.
A game I have been sorely tempted by - as my original copy has been scattered to the four winds. Sadly, other demands on my pocket have had to take priority.
ReplyDeleteConrad Kinch,
ReplyDeleteYou can, of course, make your own version, should you so desire it. All you need is some hexes, some figures, and a copy of the rules (the old version being free on the Internet). The cards may be a problem ... but you could always try your hand at making your own. You never know, your version might be even better than the original!
All the best,
Bob
