Our water supply is back ...

After four hours without water, it finally gurgled back through the supply pipes to our house.

I had left one of the bathroom taps switched 'on' so that when the supply returned I would be able to hear water flowing into the sink. Interestingly the Thames Water website announced that the supply had been restored some thirty minutes earlier than it actually began to flow ... but I suspect that it took time for the pressure to reach a sufficient level for the supply to be restored to our house. Living nearly 300 feet above sea level does impose some penalties on one's life it would appear!

  1. I was already planning to bring a bottle on Thursday - but not of water!

  2. Tim Gow,

Although a bottle of water would have been very welcome this morning, a bottle of wine will be much appreciated on Thursday!

    All the best,

  3. Hi Bob,

I will make sure that Tim does not spend too much money at lunch time although where he will put the Forbodian 54mm Britains Sudan gunboat flotilla (all 4 of them) is anybodies guess....;-)

In the words of Baldrick....I have a cunning plan....;-)

    All the best,

    DC

  4. David Crook,

I am relying on you to get Tim Gow to buy those gunboats ... especially as I now have some water for them to float on!

    All the best,

    Bob
