After having had four cruises cancelled since March, Sue and I decided that we needed a holiday, and for the last four days we have been on a short break to Tiverton, Devon.
We first went there in the 1990s and had enjoyed our stay, so when we were discussing where to go for a short holiday, we thought that it might be nice to return there. Sue contacted the owner of Tiverton Castle, which rents out several apartments that form part of the castle, and they had a vacancy ... so we booked the same apartment we had stayed in back in the 1990s.
I’ll be writing a blog post about our brief holiday in Devon, and with luck, I should be able to upload it either tomorrow or on Thursday.

ReplyDeleteRoss Mac,
DeleteWe had a great time ... and got back a lot quicker than it took us to get there!
All the best,
Bob
Hi Bob,
ReplyDeleteI'm very much looking forward to your Post from your Devon Holiday- staying in a Castle sounds very interesting. Stay well there. Cheers. KEV.
Kev Robertson (Kev),
DeleteHopefully I’ll be uploading the relevant blog post by Thursday.
Every time we went out to eat, we had to give the restaurant our current address. The various reactions when we told them we were staying at Tiverton Castle were priceless!
All the best,
Bob
Enjoy your break Bob. Cheers Greg
ReplyDeleteDelta Coy (Greg),
DeleteWe got back a couple of hours ago, feeling tired but very relaxed. It was great to get away for a few days, and has helped raise our spirits.
All the best,
Bob
Looking forward to your write up, and very envious of your castle stay!!!
ReplyDeleteAlastair,
DeleteMy write up about our trip to Tiverton has been uploaded, and I hope that you enjoy reading it.
All the best,
Bob
I remember Knightshayes Court as having some splendid topiary, did you get to see it?
ReplyDeleteNigel Drury,
DeleteWe missed the topiary area as we were getting quite hot by the time we had visited the formal garden area, and were in much need of some refreshment.
All the best,
Bob
