I have just uploaded the final video about the Franco-Prussian War of 1810 to the Wargaming Miscellany channel. It tells the story of the pursuit and destruction of the 3rd Prussian Infantry Division Gap, which is the fifth and final battle of the war.
The video can be seen using this link.
A disaster for Prussian arms comparable to 1806. An interesting campaign, and good to see the videos and compare them to the original battle reports on your blog. Hopefully there will be more in the future.
ReplyDeleteMark Cordone,
DeleteThe Prussian started well, and then began to lose the initiative …and then they started to lose troops faster than they could replace them. By the end of the campaign, they had lost the equivalent of divisions whereas the French had lost less than a divisions-worth of troops.
All the best,
Bob
Great campaign Bob! I have yet to really utilise the "quality of forces" aspect of PW and I'm intrigued by your use of fully Average and Poor Divisions in this battle. Something to test in the next game..
ReplyDeleteMaudlin Jack Tar,
DeleteHaving a full-strength force take on a weakened one made for an interesting battle. You ought to try it sometime as I think that you’ll enjoy the experience.
All the best,
Bob
Yes, a good video. I posted a comment there.
