I have just uploaded a new YouTube video to the Wargaming Miscellany YouTube channel.
It is entitled THE ESSENTIALS OF THE PORTABLE WARGAME, lasts just over twenty minutes, and outlines the design philosophy I employed when I created these rules as well as the basic game mechanisms I used. Like my previous video, it is intended as an introduction to the rules.

Bob, I agree with Mark; it was a very clear presentation which I believe would be very helpful to anyone coming to PW rules for the first time. I say 'believe' because I cannot approach it from that perspective any more - or remember how I felt when first reading them!
ReplyDeleteYou really need to test it on someone with no previous experience of the system - perhaps insert a link to it in all future editions of PW rules?
