It isn't Zimmerit coated so you can use a magnet to check if any shell holes have been bondo'd over. I would check for sawdust in the transmission too.

PS. I have done what you suggested ... and it passed your tests with flying colours!
As far as I recall, this panzer has never even been shot at and was only ever used on the western front. A full service history is on file, though the warranty may well have expired...

ReplyDeleteNow that it is serving on the Eastern Front it will probably be fired at quite frequently ... and I doubt if any damage would have been covered by the warranty anyway!
