Last month I decided that in order to keep my various projects moving forward, I needed to switch from one project to another every fortnight. I wasn’t able to do that last month, but now that we are in June, I have decided to put work on my Eastern Front/Great Patriotic War project to one side, and to pick up work on another.
It was my original intention to move on to my Napoleonic project, but the recent gift of some excellent 15mm-scale artillery, coupled with the discovery of some painted figures that I had in storage, means that I will concentrate on putting together a couple of FUNNY LITTLE WARS/PORTABLE WARGAME armies. In parallel, I will continue work on the new edition of ARRIBA ESPANA!, with the intention of publishing it by the end of the month.
Bob,
ReplyDeleteIt is good that you have developed a number of projects which you can swap and change to please your ideas. At present I've a few things I can do: Blogging, watch Thomas DVDs, Model Railways in OO- plan and collect things in OO for Thomas. That is about it..enough to keep me occupied for years. Looking forwards to your 'Funny Little Wars/Portable Wargames' armies. Regards. KEV.
Kev Robertson (Kev),
DeleteLike you, I find that having several smallish projects on the go at the same time allows me to switch between them as and when my enthusiasm begins to flag. My FLW/PW project will also allow me to use up a few odds and sods that I have had in storage for many years.
All the best,
Bob
Hi Bob, I hope this finds you well. I recall a Matrix game that you published in Wargames Illustrated called Viva la Muerta which (until I lost it) I used as a basis for SCW campaigns. Perhaps you could put that in as an appendix ? Or would that be too much ?
DeleteTake Care,
Tony.
Unknown (Tony),
DeleteVIVA LA MUERTE (including the map) is available as a free download from Tom Mouat’s Matrix Game website (http://www.mapsymbs.com/wdmatrix1.html), The main file is a zip file, although the map isn’t.
All the best,
Bob
Thanks for that, I'll look it up now.

Tony.

DeleteGlad to have been of help.
All the best,

Variety is the spice of life. I'm glad I'm not the only project-hopper around. It does keep things fresh. As always, looking forward to where your imagination takes you.
ReplyDeleteDalethewargamer,
DeleteHow right you are! Variety helps to keep one enthusiastic about the hobby!
All the best,
Bob
